A Georgia lawmaker has resigned following his appearance on Sacha Baron Cohen‘s new show where he yelled racial slurs and showed his butt on camera.

The scene comes from Cohen’s recently-released Showtime series Who Is America?, where Georgia state Representative Jason Spencer appears alongside Cohen who’s disguised as an ex-Israeli intelligence captain by the name of Erran Morad. Morad claims to be making an anti-terrorism video. As the video unfolds, Spencer not only says the N-word but also drops his pants in what Cohen’s character describes as a demonstration of terrorism deterrence tactics.
Initially, Spencer said that he wouldn’t step down before his term expired, and criticized Cohen and his team for the segment.
“Sacha Baron Cohen and his associates took advantage of my paralyzing fear that my family would be attacked," he said to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “This media company’s deceptive and fraudulent behavior is exactly why President Donald Trump was elected."
However, he announced that he’d be stepping down late Tuesday. In the announcement, he also apologized for his actions and called the segment “ridiculously ugly."
Spencer is the latest in a handful of public figures that have been tricked on Cohen’s latest TV series. Former Senator Majority Leader Trent Lott, former Illinois Republican Representative Joe Walsh, and others recently appeared in a segment endorsing a fake program to teach young children how to use firearms.
The show has been well-received though, with people such as Questlove and Jordan Peele praising Cohen for his new show.
